Charlie Schaupp on the Issues
Conservative Leadership for the North State
Charlie Schaupp understands first hand what it means to produce crops, make a payroll, pay rents, pay property taxes and run a business to make ends meet. Charlie's family has farmed in the Hungry Hollow area of northern Yolo County since his great-grandfather settled there in the 1880’s and the family currently farms over 3000 acres.
Charlie is committed to lowering taxes and keeping elected officials accountable when spending tax money. As a former Director of the Yolo County Taxpayers Association, Charlie understands fiscal responsibility.
An advocate for rural education, Charlie sought and won a seat on the Esparto School District Board of Trustees in 1993. With the Trustees selection of Charlie as Board President, the Esparto School District was able to pass its first bond to build new schools in over 30 years.
